2022 Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA)

Effective 10/15/2021 Chard Snyder will no longer accept claim submissions or debit card purchase supporting documentation via email. This change is to help ensure the security of your private personal and health-related data. You can submit claims and debit card purchase documentation via the:

• Chard Snyder mobile app (download using these instructions)

You can elect to open a Flexible Spending Account and contribute pre-tax dollars to help pay for eligible expenses now or in the future.

You do not have to be enrolled in medical coverage through The Christ Hospital to elect an FSA, however you must ensure that the FSA you elect is compatible with your medical coverage

The IRS has not released the 2022 contribution limits. Please check back for updates.

Types of FSAs

Health Care FSA covers eligible medical, dental, vision and prescription drug expenses, such as deductibles, prescriptions, orthodontia, LASIK & hearing aids.  Click here to read more about eligible expenses.
-You can contribute up to $2,850 in 2022. A $10 per pay period minimum contribution is required.
-You are eligible for a Health Care FSA if you enroll in a PPO plan such as the Core PPO plan.
-You are not eligible for a Health Care FSA if you enroll in a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA).

Limited Purpose FSA covers eligible dental and vision expenses only.
-You can contribute up to $2,850 in 2022. A $10 per pay period minimum contribution is required.
-You are eligible for a Limited Purpose FSA if you enroll in a PPO plan or if you enroll in a High-Deductible Health Plan (HDHP) with a Health Savings Account (HSA).

Dependent Care FSA covers eligible care for your dependents, including childcare for children under age 13, pre-school expenses, elder care and summer day camp.
-You can contribute up to $5,000 in 2022. A $10 per pay period minimum contribution is required.

More information regarding your FSA and how to pay for eligible expenses will be mailed to your home address from Chard Snyder. Please note, you will have the opportunity to seek reimbursement for eligible expenses incurred through December 31st within 90 days following the end of the plan year. If you not submit your claim expenses within the 90-day window, any remaining funds in your FSA will be forfeited.
